Cleaning Stainless Steel Appliances

Posted in House and Home by Sarah on August 6, 2009

For the longest time, I was so frustrated every time I tried to clean my fridge and stove front, both made of stainless steel.  I sprayed it with traditional cleaning products but it never seemed clean – just streaky.

Then I got the greatest tip for cleaning stainless steel:  mineral oil.   Pour a little onto a dry cloth (or paper towels) and rub all over the stainless steel surface, and voila!  Clean machine.

p.s.  mineral oil is good to have even if you don’t have stainless steel appliances.  It’s key for keeping your cutting boards in prime condition.  I learned that one from mama.
